A shop at Kovalam

We had a great time at Kovalam. That was an outing with Arjun Binu and some of their colleagues. Those where the times dedicated to photography and of-course jamming in moderation.

I used to gaze at them during my childhood; even now too. But my camera managed to catch it differently. The child in me always want to run around with one of those watching how it mates with the wind.

Spark stick also called kambi thiri in Malayalam is common while celebrating Vishu. not to mention those eardrum blasting crackers.

Lot of abandoned photos in store! I’m revisiting these randomly and this is one such. This is one of the most famous boat races conducted in kerala. Here what we can see is one end of chundan vallam or boat which is built mainly for the very purpose. Other types of boats are also competed seperately.

Taken from near the Kanakakkunnu palace where I went for an outing with my friends. Here, the stuff like giant wheel, rides etc are setup which attracts lots of people in weekends, mostly families.

The Municipal bus bay at 5.13 AM

Taken when waiting for bus to home after a train journey from Trivandrum to Thrissur. This place is called the “Municipal Bus Stand” or “The old bus stand”. Apart from the addition of copyright text and re-sizing, no image editing involved.

A quick snap took from Waynad trip at Kuruva Island turned out to be a pretty satisfactory portrait for me. Main subjects are two of my colleagues in NeST. I did ask for permission to post via mail but didn’t get any response. So, I’m posting this only because of my impatience. I’ll not be very happy, but am willing to remove it if they feel that it must be removed.

The Nehru Trophy Boat race 2011 which was conducted in Punnamada Lake, Alappuzha. It was a visual treat with all those colors and also a thriller where each and every team is a famous one that have a lot of supporters. this photo is nearly a 100% crop of a photo I took using my 18-55 kit lens from a distance. Hope you like it.
